Absolutely, correct. If you are not going to mount the RTT permanently, I highly recommend getting the Gobi accessory bars and mount the RTT to those instead of directly to the Gobi. Your wrists and knuckles will thank you. Getting between the roof and the rack to turn a wrench IMHO sucks.
I did not find the added weight of the RTT on my 2013 JKU to be an issue, but I also run AEV's 2.5" lift with progressive springs. With factory springs I imagine you will notice more roll esp with the combined weight of the Gobi and the RTT.
Having had a Gobi stealth on JK and having in not permanently mounted, I feel a need to chip in here.

I never had accessory bars, so I cannot comment on them. However, I would say you can live without them.
Body roll: added, but honestly not that bad if you ask me. I ran a 3" with 35s and drove from Phoenix to Denver and back with zero body roll issues.
Mounting: either way you go, get a dedicated tool set for mounting and removing the tent. I had a small bad of a combo wrench, ratchet, and shallow and deep socket for the job. Dedicated tools made my life much easier.
Also, practice the hardware and mounting set-up int he driveway with lots of time, good weather, and do it more than once! Good luck!
:sombrero: No way, will I ever run my jeep with an RTT mounted on top--it ruins the jeeps off-road versatility/trail use/off camber hills/rock/sand/shale--and makes the freeway travel uncomfy and more expensive !
Now if you putit on a trailer--you're ready to go-
Whatever
