I've owned 2 other m4/3 cameras.. the Olympus E-P1 and Panasonic GF-1. Both are great still cameras, but lack certain features in the video department.

The GH1 used go for $1500 with a kit lens.. that put it into a prohibitive price range.. I picked up the new body from B&H for $399..

I'm going to use it exclusively on my upcoming China trip.. No way am I going to carry 10lbs of Canon DSLR gear...

I've seen excellent video done by people with the GH1, so hopefully it will work out for me.

Now I'll have a mint Panasonic GF-1 for sale :sombrero:

For anyone who want a relatively small camera for stills and video.. this is a great buy... Heck at this price, no other cameras come close.

a video someone made with the GH1

I'm really liking my m4/3 setup. G2, 14-140, 100-300 and a Metz flash all fit in a tiny backpack. Add the LX5 and a wide angle adapter and I'm set for almost everything. It's no Canon 1D with a 70-200/2.8 (God I miss that setup sometimes), but it weighs a lot less.

I use my GF1 a lot, and find it quite able to capture files suitable 13 x 19 inch prints. The lenses are excellent as well.

I have my eye on the GH-2 if it is ever available.
