Kayak carrier and deck Mark1

Prototype 1 designed, built and working very well.
This is designed to carry two kayaks upright against the back of the motorhome and when down will also be a 2m wide by 2.5m long deck that we can sit on, fish off etc. etc.etc.
All operated by an electric ATV winch.
I am stoked!
I made this today from materials I had on hand (it does help working at a tip shop though). The final one will be made by an engineering company and much prettier.
We are going to have sides on the deck that will fold down when not required - we are thinking a white picket fence (in aluminium) and astroturf on the deck. Will look like a summers garden! Oh and an awning up top...

Just a thought... if you hinged the frame from the lower bar rail, rather than the top one, you would not reduce your departure angle that much and you could lessen the amount that the kayak/s protrude above the roof. It's a bit hard to tell from the pictures, but I am assuming there would still be sufficient clearance under the kayak/s when the frame is horizontal.
It's a nice simple idea, and definitely easier than loading the sucker/s on the roof.

I thought of that too SkiFreak but then the kayaks would obstruct the lights and I really don't want to move them. The Bus is 3.5 metres high and the kayaks as is only add 20cm (I should be able to reduce this down a bit when I get an engineer to build the thing properly.
