Over the last three decades, Bartlebaugh has interviewed more than 300 people who have used bear spray following a close encounter with bruins. About 65 percent of those didn’t know the brand they were carrying or how far the can would spray or how long that spray would last.
i call this ''just get it'' culture. you see it with everything these days. nobody looks anything up they just get it and they're done. they got it. no research required. check off the box next to ''get bear spray'' same goes with everything else. oh, you need to get a flashlight for your trip? go to Wallmart an pick out the first one you see. there you go, you got it! done, next. everything is image today. its not about the part its about looking the part and getting that part as quickly as possible everything else is irrelevant and if it doen't work it doesn't matter because you didn't know what it was in the first place. just go out and get another one...
end rant..
