Kia Sorento with Mitsubishi 3.5L DOHC engine.

Dint know Hyundai had the 3.5 DOHC engine too. Do you know which Hyundai models have that engine? This is gonna make it easier to find replacement parts at the junk yards.

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
The Mitsu stuff will always be far better but the Hyundai stuff is newer and available. I'm sure Hyundai changed other things as well but all in all it's the same motor, should be at least as good as a well maintained 100k mile Montero motor and since most of us are getting well over 200k that doesn't sound too bad.

Just so happens I have a 2003 sorento with 3.5
I have a few friends that run monteros. There is very little that is "bolt.on" between the two all though they are the "same"
If that makes any sense.
Kia Sedona mini van and
Kia armanti also have 3.5
Long blocks between sore to armanti and Sedona are the same but intakes and such are differant.
Also the kia shown in above photo is not an 06.
3.5 is in 03 to 06 only. 07 went 3.3
