Well I guess we can just delete this thread. Sorry for the waste of space, I just wanted to see what was out there and how KJs/KKs were set up for extended travel.

Leave it there are a few out there for sure. You already know what mine looks like, have had a few folks contact me on how or what to do to theirs so some should be showing up

I personally think a diesel KJ is a pretty sweet expo rig, but on the rare occasion you see one for sale they want a kidney for it.

I have one but it is no longer setup for extended travel since I got my Wrangler with an URSA Minor top. If I could have gotten John at Ursa to make me a top that worked on top of the Liberty it would still be my Overlander of choice because I like the Diesel mileage alot betterSNC00032.jpg

I think a kj will be my next rig for exploring and camping right now they aren't cheap enough hence why I have an XJ right now.

I hear with 2inch lift and 1" body you can fit 215/85r16s. Which is a pretty sexy tire size

Another thing I like about them is that they have a rear swings away built in and the tire mount can easily hold a 31 which is as big as most will go for expo.

You can fit 215/85r16s with no lift. I did.

1 inch body lift?? Be kind of hard to do:)
