Klystron tube shipping & storage boxes.

I have no idea what Klystron is, but someone has a few of these boxes for sale locally. I just want to make sure they are safe to use. The size is 20x19x16. He is asking $60 for both. Thoughts?

A klystron tube is a vacuum tube that is basically an electron gun that shoots electrons at microwave frequencies. Shipping crates for a klystron tube would probably be pretty tough and well padded.

Should be safe... A klystron tube is just a type of amplifier used in radar and radio transmission systems.... Nothing toxic or hazardous when not powered.

Very nice. Good size, not to terribly heavy when full, either. If I was looking for such a thing that would be a good buy.
