I believe this tire is newer to market. It looks to be competing with the BFG KO2, General Grabber, Duratrac etc. Price is right. Anyone have experience with these tires?
I.had a set of 31x10.50 E rated Kuhmos on my Cherokee. While they did well in snow and mud for what they were the ride quality and wear sucked. Hands down the roughest E rated tire I've ever had. Rode twice as rough as the BFGs and Goodyear tires I've run.
Nope, different tire and I can't remember the particular model of Khumo I had. I'm reluctant to buy another set though. Id do a good bit of research before I.bought them again.
I had a set of these put on yesterday on my 1999 Montero (31x10.5x15) and it just so happens to be raining in ATL so I can say for sure they have good grip in the rain and are not at all noisy on the highway. My offloading is limited to forest service/logging roads in the North GA mountains so I'm sure they will do fine there for my needs.
Here is the best part. They have a $120 rebate through 10/31 and my local Kauffman Tire runs a special every business day after a Falcon's football game, they give $40 off for every quarter the Falcon's score a touchdown...on Sunday they scored a TD in all 4 quarters so I got $160 off plus the $120 rebate from Kumho....I got four AT51s mounted and balanced for a total of $457 after all the discounts and rebates....you can't touch that!
And this place has great prices and will ship free to a local installer....I was going to go this route until I heard the Kauffman tire ad yesterday AM. With a local installer that only charges $70 this is only about $30 more than I paid....
