Awesome trip. Looks like you hit all the right places. Definitely make it a point to visit the Apostle Islands -specifically Bayfield, Stockton Island and in the end, Tom's Burned down cafe. Apple fest in Bayfield is -wow.

Awesome write up, the wife is from just outside Duluth and we have discussed doing this a few times. She wants to do it on her motorcycle, I told her I'd follow in the LR3 as a support truck!

Like from Black Rocks craft brewers Unfortunately they were gone (consumed) before I arrived back home. Actually, picked up a small shale rock shaped like an arrowhead in the Porkies. Did take some cool photos straight down of some rocks in Pukaskwa. Going to make prints of those.

I'm driving the north shore, gun flint trail next week. Hopefully there's some fall colour action up there.

Awesome trip report. I took a camping trip up to the Porkies earlier this summer. One of the most breathtaking areas I've visited. Thanks for posting!
