This carrier was used on my LR Disco 3 for an expedition London to Cape Town in 2012. (see. www.kiwisinafrica.com)
I had a custom spare wheel mount attached to the spare wheel carrying an additional 30 litres of diesel when needed. (see pics)
The carrier arm failed in Malawi and was repaired by a bush mechanic.
The carrier has been on the vehicle since then and works perfectly even with fuel in the fuel packs.
One bolt head had to be drilled when this was removed, but should not be a problem to replace when installing.
All other bolts and mounting hardware is included.
While the unit is off the vehicle, I'd be tempted to grind down those welds and repaint the arm. But that's purely cosmetic.
A new unit costs approximately £1000 and so grab a bargain.
I'm asking £400 plus shipping.
The item is located in London, UK and is in the original Front Runner box which could be used for shipping although I guess shipping will be pricey if needed.
