Hi Guys,
What I have up for grabs is one sweet LR3. Fully decked out for overlanding and adventure travel. I recently purchased this LR3 with the intention of completing what would be my dream LR3. But, I've got a bad case of "Defender Fever." I'm on the hunt for a D110 and I need to sell this to fund that endeavor.
I'm very familiar with Land Rovers and the typical issues that certain models have... The LR3 is no exception. Knowing that, I preemptively took it in to my preferred Independent Rover shop (Columbia Roving in Portland) and had them take care of every issue that the LR3s are known for. This thing is set up to be as "bomb proof" as possible. See the "Recent Work" section below.
Make: Land Rover
Model: LR3
Year: 2006
Engine: 4.0L V6
Mileage: 108,XXX
Interior: Alpaca (seats are in great shape... No cracks, cuts, etc).
Exterior Color: Tonga Green (paint is in good shape, no dents, minimal scratches, see details below regarding a door seam chip)
RECENT WORK:
As of 5/31/2017 the LR3 went to the shop to get every possible that the LR3 is known for, taken care of prematurely, as well as replacing much of the suspension assembly and tackling misc. maintenance. Total bill was $5,670.00
MECHANICAL WORK:
Full brake fliud flush (front and rear... Pads and Rotors are in good shape)
Replaced rear door actuator
Replaced suspension compressor with new unit
Replaced front shock and stut assembly
Replaced front control arms
Replaced tie rods/end rods
Replaced front stabilizer bar
Replaced rear stabilizer bar
Replaced transmission pan gasket, filter, and electrical sleeve
Replaced front and rear differential fluids
Replaced transfer case fluid
MISC WORK:
Any and all dents removed from the exterior of the car
Headlight Correction
New Headlight Bulbs
New Red Rings and Light Covers For the ARB Intensity 9.5s
New Oxygen Sensor
AFTERMARKET UPGRADES:
Lift Rods
Front Runner Drawer System
Front Runner Spare Carrier
ARB Twin Air Compressor w/ Tank
ARB Bumper
Voyager Rack
Voyager Factory Plastic Base (for rack)
Shovel and Axe Mount (on the rack)
ARB Intensity 9.5in (X6)
Rigid D-Series Spot Lights (X2)
Ladder (Factory LR)
Safari Snorkel
Rock Sliders
Dual Battery Set Up
CB Radio
Heavy Duty Ram Mount (for iPad or whatever Nav setup you want to you)
Auxiliary Power (with tons of power outlets in the front and rear)
New dash cover (there is a small crack in the dash... Which is a common issue with LR3s)
Headlight & Taillight Guards (brand new, in box)
THINGS THAT COULD BE ADDRESSED:
Headliner is starting to sag a bit
One of the rear speakers isn't working
One of the fuses needs to be replaced for one of the ARB lights... Simple fix, just haven't done it.
The passenger side rear door has paint chipping on the edge (see pic). It was from the previous owner... I was planning on addressing this, just hadn't gotten around to it yet. Just needs some touch up paint.
Tires need to be replaced fairly soon
CONCLUSION:
It's a fantastic car... There is no reason that I'm getting rid of it, other than to fund a Defender. I believe the price is fair as there is somewhere between $13,000 - $15,000 just in aftermarket upgrades on this thing (and that's not factoring in any labor for installation if you're not tackling everything yourself). In addition, the car just had a major overhaul at the shop to replace everything the LR3 is known for having issues with. See more pics on the craigslist add listed below.
