Land Rover Tomcat versus . . . a jet-powered kayak?

As per good times, I like the part where "canoe boy" says, if ice jams it up, the motor quits, and I sink. Fun ride though either way.
 
Interesting in two ways. One the idea of building aboat that won't float it's own weight. second that may not be the first powered kayak like top gear proclaims, depending on the age of the clip. There was a guy in cali back in 98 or 99 that stared powerkak. He was retro fitting honda engines with jet drives into sit on top kayaks. They were pretty cool and the conversion cost about $2500.
