How Does This Toyota Not Drown?

This Landcruiser tries to cross a stream that's more than a bit too deep. Before it gets halfway across, the ‘Yota starts to sink. Watch it somehow drive itself out of the water and onto dry land.

Even though the Toyota takes on water like the Titanic, the snorkel keeps the engine running and the Landcruiser manages to gain enough traction in the mud to un-sink itself. Awesome.

I wonder if the LC crossed the water again to rejoin the group since the first crossing was such a success?

So that thing basically took on enough water to sink to the bottom and gain enough traction to scooch out. Awesome. :D He used about every inch of that snorkel.

A quick water-noob question - with the engine block (and other components) that's fully warmed up being cooled down at a rapid rate by diving into cold water, are there any issues like warping, cracking, etc?

I imagine you would stop at the water crossing and let the engine cool down as well as make any last minute preparation to the rig for a nice swim.
