Yes...I removed mine a couple years ago. I had a buddy fab me a SS water tank that sits on the floor where the seats used to be located...and then I ratchet strap 2-3 plastic containers with all my gear atop that; very convenient and secure. And this set-up is much better for my off-road camping/exploring cargo versatility...and sleeping in it too. I can still swap the seats back in...takes me about a hour now.
Depending on how far back/forward you have the front seats the distance, at the floor, from the rear portion of the seat to the rear hatch is about 78-80" with the front seat almost all the way rearward.
Just a reference note: The measurement I provided was from near the base of the back side of the driver's side seat. The seatback is reclined so if your package is tall you would have less effective distance between the seat (back) and the rear hatch.
I have my 2nd row, right seat out and I measured from the tailgate to the back of the front passenger seat (with it as far back as possible)...it came out to about 76". The Oz Tent fit is going to depend on how far forward your seat is.
This is an estimated measurement because I had to go over my AO drawers so I couldn't get floor level for you.
I but my RV 2 in the back with the seat folded down. Lots of room to spare.
