Leica M-E?

I'm kicking around the idea of dumping all my Canon gear and buying a Leica M-E with a 35 and a 50. I'm getting tired of lugging a backpack full of gear and using a DSLR. I want to go smaller, travel lighter, be less obtrusive and make less noise. Has anyone played with or own one? Thoughts?

I dumped all my Nikon gear for a Fuji X-E1 w/18-55 kit lens. I love the new found freedom.

Aloha Sean :)

last year dumped all my canon and L glass

did get a D600 a 35 1.8 prime and a 85 1.8 prime for it not quite ready to loose the faster focus in low light when I need it and when I do I am on primes anyway :) and got a Olympus OMD em5 and shot about 22 jobs with the OMD along side and had great results and the OMD is my new travel go to camera
some amazing glass is available for the Oly the 75 1.8 is by far the best lens I have ever shot even over some of my older voigtlander or any of my L glass including the primes the thing is AMAZING

I want to get my hands on the Fuji sometime soon and waiting to see if the new ones coming who knows when :) so Xe2 or the new pro whatever it might be fixes some of the focus issues
Fuji has a really nice lens lineup going on and the APS-C sensor is a nice balance between the M4/3 and the FF gear

a few buds are using the Fuji and the OMD in pro settings with no issues :) again I say choosing a camera these days is like choosing a lens all have pros cons etc..

one thing I can say is dumping all my big heavy 2.8 L zooms and glass has been a nice feeling on humping around gear :) I would imagine the D600 is the last FF I will buy maybe ? and the reason I chose it over the D800 is a bit less noise in high iso and for weddings portraits I shoot dont need the D800 files

I am loving mirrorless :)

you still going to be shooting any surfing stuff or anything like that ? to me a FF with a nice prime is still fun to have

I love Leica but not sure I would want one over the Fuji at this point unless its for the fun of having one :)

since you know me and the work we do with the happyfish biz I have a few Leica clients so have seen a few things come across my screen and nothing that stands out anymore vs any thing else so IMHO it would be purely a reason of wanting a Leica :) which is a perfect good reason :)
I am down to only shooting about 20 or so weddings a year and getting into portrait stuff this year and wanting to move out of weddings a bit
