Locker question

I bought myself a 97 UK spec 3L v6 shogun a few weeks ago for not a lot of money, the idea of that was to swap the rear axle into my 2.8.

My question is about the pump,If I wire it up to a switch via a relay, will it knock the pump off once the pressure reaches the desired level,or will it keep running until I flick the switch off? I'm not able to go and fiddle with it as it's not at my house, and I'd like to be able to know everything I need to do before hand rather than having to tinker with it and find out how it works and wire it in properly the first time

Thanks folks

I take it that the pressure cutoff is in the pump though? and not something inline on the axle side being fed back into the ECU. I'll be trying to avoid using the ECU so I can have a bit of freedom about when I can use the locker

There is a dedicated module located on top rear left wheel well. I think that's what regulates the cutoff when the correct pressure is set.

The pressure switch is built into the lockers little pump. I installed a Gen 2 locker into a 91 and ran a hot wire from an on/off switch to the pump. The locker worked anytime I engaged the switch.

Thats what I wanted to hear! All I need is the pump with a pipe going into the axle? I'll have a locker very soon in that case!

And i've not forgotten about getting prices of 5.29 gears,i've just been flat out busy with swapping the engine in mine.
