So those are basically 11.5 inches wide. Look good for the sand.

yes, I believe they are 11.5. Interesting, I think they look awesome. I always loved how a wide tire used to look on my Jeep TJ. But I always read that LR's don't like wide tires. Have you heard this?

I've seen a few running the 285's. Rare though because the Rovers don't have as much room in the fenders. The ones I've seen with 285's have to trim a lot to get them to flex all the way up. Even then they rub a little. In my opinion the Rover just isn't as suited to the common tires Jeepers use.
