Finally got my first winch! I almost bought a mile marker a while ago but decided to wait until I could get a Warn. I ended up going with the M8000.
4Wheel Parts had them for $525, not bad. Since I got the winch I decided it was a good time to pick up a new battery. I was going to get an Optima, seems to be the most popular battery around here, but then read some good reviews of the Pro Comp HDX battery. It is made by Excide and is a spiral cell battery. It was about $40 cheaper than the Optima so I decided to give it a try. It should be fine for my applications.

CCA @ 0 deg F. 770
CCA @ 32 deg F. 1000
RC minutes @ 25 amps 95
Now I need to get out and practice using the winch. Anyone have any good resources on winch operations and safety? Do you guys sit in the cab when operating them or outside? Never having used one before I really need to learn about them.
