Looking at a gtrv e-150... What to look for?

I'm heading out to look at a 2000 gtrv e-150 2wd tomorrow evening. Just wondering if there's anything in particular I should look for on it? The end goal is lifted and locked on 35's with a ujor conversion.

I already have a 7.3 Quigley e350 SD on 285's and I love it... BUT it needs a lot of work and money put into it before it can be useable as a camper for my family. To start, I need a pop top installed and a good paint job/rust abatement done. That is just the start and doesn't include any sort of heater or interior build or water system etc... So I'm looking at MINIMUM $10-20k depending on the top and the paint etc...

The gtrv needs nothing and is ready to go and it is rather cheap (less than a pop top for my e350). It has been kept inside and has no rust or paint issues and has detailed maintenance records.

I'm torn between what to do... Keep and build the 350 for more money in the long run, or buy the gtrv and get on the road this summer for cheaper, sooner.

What would you do?

So after a bit more thought (but zero research)...

How hard would it be to take the gtrv body and put it on my 7.3 quigley'd chassis? Best of both worlds if it's feasible...
I guess it would depend on how much stuff gtrv attached to the frame rails. Would the e-150 body mount onto my e-350 frame/running gear?

I went to check it out last night and came away unimpressed. Might be a good rig for someone else but I decided I'm pretty much dead set on keeping the 7.3 diesel and working on it to get it built up the way I want. I simply couldn't go with the 4.6L V8 after driving my chipped 7.3.
