Can people share some brackets and custom ways they mounted mud flaps on a 4 x 4 Van? I have a E 350 and I believe I need to fabricate a bracket to the frame in order for them to fit. I would rather not screw into the metal exterior. Thanks again.

Front (going to tight fit)

I need some too, all this paint chipping has happened since I have had the van. Maybe it just had not done some of the things I do before I owned it. ;) or maybe it's the lift....
Where is the u joint mud flap kit?
I have some thin (1/6"?) abs, in fact I made some front flaps but forgot to screw them in when I recently rotated the tires.

To protect the painted surfaces you could use Lamin-X.
As for mud flaps, sorry I don't have any advice.

Search for mudflaps on the sportsmobile.com forum. They have similar vans with similar needs and I know ive seen some beefy mudflap rigs on there. One specifically that connected to a reunel bumper...

Here's some pics of heavy duty Gatorback mud flaps on mine. I've put them on every van or truck i own. Each one is a little different for mounting depending on size of tires and other accessories like running boards that can help in getting creative for mounting as there is no E series van specific flap available so this is using universal brackets and flaps.
The flaps have cut down on rock chips and mud build up. Im sure there are my flaps that can be used or even make your own brackets but i'll just give you the info on mine and you guys can decide whats best for you. You can check out the flaps and brackets at truckhardware.ca and i believe looking on their site that sharptruck.com carries this brand in the U.S. On the front and back i used the a Gatorback 12" x 23" square style flap and used their universal "L" bracket (https://www.truckhardware.ca/products/322) in the rear. On the front I did tie into the fender, also with one bolt on the far inside tying into a small bracket off the running board.
On my bronco i used these (https://www.truckhardware.ca/products/569) , It has 35" tires and I needed the mud flaps to be kicked back a bit to clear the tires when turning, so bought those universal offset brackets, then bought the mud flaps and cut to desired length. These required to be drilled into the fender lip but then i ran a support from the frame to the inside corner to help stabilize. Product has all been top notch, again nothing van specific but seems like they have all the tools necessary to put something together to add protection to your van. Hope this helps.
