Looking for a 'car mount' 3G (t-mo) to Wifi adapter

Looking for a little box I can throw one of my SIM cards in to use as an access point in the truck when traveling.

I've seen a few that take USB sticks, that might be able to work, but I'd really like something a little more self contained, and possibly the ability to put external antennas on it.

Ideas?

What about a MiFi unit?
I am not sure if you can switch out SIM cards on a MiFi and it doesn't have an external antenna but I think they would work for your application. You can get a "car" signal repeater antenna for increased range etc. but I can't think of the brands of the top of my head.

I use my cell phone for this exact thing. Its free, and works very well. I use it at my house too so I dont pay for internet when I am home.

What cell phone do you have? Almost all have the option to tether or wifi tether.

Also, we used a LARGE cell phone booster system on the ship I was on in Alaska. After using it for a month we got a cease and desist letter from AT&T as it was severely screwing up their cell phone towers. Since then I haven't toyed around with external cell phone boosters much, but a great site to look into (IIRC) is 3Gstore.com, or some website with 3g in the address. They had coverage maps with cell phone tower locations plotted, so you could point your directional antennas easier. It was pretty trick.
