Looking for a little help estimating weight so I can order custom Deavers for 1st gen Raptor

Hey there,

I'm hoping to maybe find someone who has gone through this previously, ideally on a gen 1 raptor but that may not be totally necessary since I just need to know about how much to figure in weight.

I've got a GFC on order and it should be built in a couple of months. I'm starting to plan out my suspension setup and I called Deaver today to talk it over. They said I'm likely right on the verge between their +4 HD and needing to have a custom spring pack built. The price is negligible so I'm leaning towards custom.

The truck will generally stay pretty well loaded with camping gear and the GFC will remain on the truck. It's my daily driver in the winter, not as much in the summer but sees more use in the summer for camping and road trips. I'll be doing drawers down the road, most likely with a mix of 80/20 and wood. The drawers will be loaded with misc camping gear (stove, pots, pans, chairs...) and recovery gear. There will also be an ARB fridge, lithium battery, redarc charging setup with at least 100w of solar on the roof of the GFC and 5 - 10 gallons of water. There will almost always be some sort of rack on the back of the truck to either hold 2 mountain bikes or at times a 2 stroke dirt bike (250 lbs on it's own plus the rack is pretty stout). Deaver said it's probably best to not design around the dirt bike back there and just deal with some sagging for the times when I do take it on a trip.

I may also do a rear bumper down the road, something like the SVC Baja v3. I don't know the weight of that yet or how it compares to the stock bumper weight that it would be replacing but I definitely would not want to have to order another spring pack to be able to do that upgrade.

I know GFC claims 250-270 lbs for the camper. I'm guessing another 250 lbs for the rest of the stuff in the bed but that's just a wild guess and this is the part I probably need the most help with. Has anyone else with a similar setup weighed what they've put in the bed?

If you can wait, your best bet would be to just take the loaded rig to some nearby CAT scales and get the exact weight. I'm guessing the fridge, batteries, solar, water, bumper, recovery gear, camping gear, drawers, people, etc will be a lot more than 250 pounds.

Without actually weighing the completed and fully-loaded setup, all you (or anyone else) can do is throw wild guesses at it. Most people estimate the weight of their loaded, built-out, rigs unrealistically-low.

Weighing it would definitely be best but I was hoping to have the rear suspension installed and ready to go when I pickup the GFC. Maybe that's unrealistic though. I am starting to think that my estimate is really low.
