looking for gen 2 leather seat kits

I picked some second hand gen two seats and they are in pretty rough shape. I tool them to an upholstery guy and said if I can find a precut kit it would save me a whole tone in labor. So anyone see anything? I'm not picky on material. I searched the interwebs like crazy but came up blank .

What about stripping the existing covers? you can use those old hog ring pliers to remove and install it.

Not sure they are available. I looked everywhere too. What kind of $$ is your upholstery guy looking to get for labor? I bought full hides from eBay and had a guy do everything. He did an incredible job. Yea used the old material as the pattern.

Might be too pricey. A seat bottom is somewhere around 300 alone.

I've got less than that into mine in leather. Roughly $350 ($150 labor) each for the front pair and that second row sofa was a bit more like $500 ($200 labor). The second row takes a lot of material and has the 3 arm rests so more into the labor as well.

LOL, Actually I would recommend going to your local scrapyard and pulling a seat from the carcass of whatever is on the lot. This salvage yard company is all over the place, and helpfully lists what's on their lots, though they rarely distinguish between the Montero and the Montero Sport. http://www.lkqpickyourpart.com/
