Looking for high mileage/blown engine Taco

Sure I could ask for this in the Classified but thought why talk to the oily rag when I could go straight to the engine driver!

Here is what im after ...

2005 or newer TRD Tacoma 4 door preferably with lockers that has either a blown motor or high mileage that I can get for less than 10K (lot less if the motors blown )

Have an idea for swapping in a 1KZTE. Dont think its ever been done before in this body style Taco. Please correct me if im wrong.

Any leads appreciated

I'll keep my eye out around these parts but I dont know how many of the 4.0s are having catastrophic failures.

Yeah I figured it is a shot in the dark but if you dont ask you'll never know.

A nice high mileage Tacoma with a good body would also work

I totally agree with you and that was the route I was going to take initially (and still may end up that way)
But like you said to put this in an 05 or newer would be awesome. Love the new sytle of Tacoma but buying one for anymore than 10K then putting the 1KZ in i think would be a waste.
That gas motor is sweet, but man a diesel varient makes me :drool:
