Hello Expedition Portal,
Name is Russ and this is my first post here, but I've been searching for a tent trailer that is somewhat capable for my use and haven't been able to come up with anything.
My needs are fairly specific which is why I suspect I'm having issues, but this seems to be the best place to either find one or find someone who knows about one.
I may as well just list off my needs and hope something fits:
Must Haves Are:
- Either a factory lift, or a leaf spring setup that I can lift fairly easily.
- Tent trailer type. Not looking for an M-Series or Bushranger type. Would like to have sink, furnace, 3-way fridge, etc.
- Weight of about 1500lbs or less if possible. I'll likely have to add armour and box in the frame if it's L-channel. Towing with an '04 TJ on 36's with 4.10's. 4L.
I know it exists as you can buy one new, but new ones are around $7k and that's a little far out of the budget. Looking to pay around $3k, but can go as far as $5k if it's really perfect.
PM me if you know of one, or have one. I'm also open to someone who has a road-version for sale, but who is a decent fabricator and willing to mod it for me. I've only welded a few times and would be getting a buddy to do it anyway.
