Lost Conqueror water tank cap

So even after reading a previous thread about losing the cap to the water tank on our Compact, and saying that we were going to have to make some tethers for them, we still managed to lose one on our recent trip to Baja. I have contacted Conqueror and they will sell me a cap but of course the shipping is not cheap at all. So I was wondering if anyone else out there is still missing a cap and would like me to order an extra or two possibly bring the cost per cap down. The caps apparantly come with the necks but I was going to tell them to keep the neck and ship just the caps to save on weight.

I guess I should have first asked if anyone has found a replacement for the cap in North America.

Thanks.

How much do they want for spares and shipping?

Speaking of Baja where are your photos? I have been waiting to see a picture of you camping in my garage.

The caps are only $14 but I was quoted $44 for shipping for the cap and the neck. Now if the necks are tossed you should be able to ship two caps for the same price and I would think that additional caps should not cost much more for shipping. I looked it up and to ship a cap (to the US) from Canada should only be around $5. I am going to have to buy a cap no matter what so I was thinking if anyone wanted to get in on a group buy we could somehow split up the total cost including forwarding them to you guys in the US.

As for the photos, I am working on getting a website up soon so I will let you know as soon as it is ready and there will be a photo of the garage!

If we buy multiples, we should be able to save on shipping. I actually need a tent pole as well as would like to purchase one of the velcro side walls.

I would take the cap and filler tubes if it is only $44 for shipping multiples.

Let me know.
Thanks

No kidding Dendy, I would like to know too. Hell ive made enough phone calls and just get to leave a message, probably a time zone thing, But I never hear anything. E-Mail seam to go into some alien world as well.

I too would be in for a few side curtins, and a cap or two.

Maybe it is a Commonwealth thing, :victory: I always seem to get through and get treated well.

The person I am dealing with right now is Gerhard Harmase and his email is aftersales at conqueror dot co dot za. I was passed off to him by the woman who was very helpful in getting my paperwork together for the import to Canada.

Anyway, if you guys are interested in ordering some bigger items maybe I can sneak a cap into your shipment. As for the caps and necks, I have not looked too close at mine but I believe Gerhard is talking about the threaded collar not the whole pipe that runs to the tank (is it all one piece?). He quoted a weight of 350g (about the weight of a can of beer) so it can't be too big. If you need his telephone (or even cell number) PM me and I will send them to you.

Sorry guys, I have been down with chicken pox for two weeks so I have not done anything with this. I will add up the requests and see what we can get for a price.

Jason, let me know if I can help. The factory is 30 mins from us so it's nothing to send a driver to pick up and Fedex to you.

IIRC when I replaced mine I only brought the cap, for much less than $14, will look into it on Monday
