Observer
Got bored today so I went to the local trail. (I hope the pics are not too big I have no program to shrink them)
This is a brief review on the history off the website for lost river cave
"The Lost River Cave and Valley is an urban Nature Sanctuary. Sixty-eight acres of green space include a diversity of wildlife habitat including river, wetlands, blue holes, limestone bluffs, grassland prairie, cedar glade, springs, and hardwood forest. The valley boasts over 130 species of birds during spring migration and an abundance of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. This web of life extends into the cave, where countless critters live quietly in the darkness."
If you want an information on the Karst Aquifers, just let me know and I would be happy to tell you all I know. But without delay, on to the Pics! (sorry I'm no photographer)
Entrance to the cave
Karst Aquifer (aka Blue Hole)
Small spring where the river comes out
Those are a few of the random pictures I took while out on my hike. More can be found at: http://s101.photobucket.com/albums/m63/Rev_0388/
