Lowrance Ifinder Expedition C

SOAZ

Tim and Kelsey get lost..
Does anyone have any experience with this unit?
I'm set on Lowrance because at least once a month it will be used for treking along race courses and the standard in SCORE, SNORE, BITD, PDR etc is lowrance .usr files. Also we already use the baja model in the race car.
SO, what do you think about this unit?
Thanks in advance.

I've had mine for almost a year now and I love it. It's a good compromise between and vehicle mounted system and hand held. The price is not bad either, $330 with the topo software. It has a ton of features and the color screen is very nice and easy to read. The internal antenna is good but not as good as the Garmin GPSMap 60. I have it hooked up to a $20 amplified antenna when I use it in the truck and I also have an amlified antenna with a 3' cable I use when hiking through dense woods. This way I can just toss it in the backpack and not lose a signal. I think you will be very please with the unit.

Thanks. If you did it again would you pop for the Plus package or not.

Definitely. The topo sofware is really nice. I think the difference in price is only $80. For $80 you get the sofware, sim card and card reader.
