LR3 tire sizes

Well I have to buy tires, I am putting the Johnson rods on when I get the tires, then will get the alignment done.
I have seen a few popular sizes
1. 265/65 18s
2. 285/60/18s
3. 275/65/18s

obviously I have 18s so looking to put on an AT type tire for some mild to moderate wheeling

Would love pros and cons from people who actually have one of the above sizes.

The most important thing to keep in mind is all tire manufactures lie. My point is we have three trucks in the yard with 32 inch tires and none of them are the same size. If you go on a recommendation try to get the exact same tire that the person recommended not only the tire size.

Aaron, I have 5 brand new Michelins I had on my LR3 for a month (sold the truck, after putting it back to stock), set of Johnson rods, EAS controller, and wheels should you want it all. I need to double check tire size, but I think 275/65-18... Super quiet, E rated (in lieu of P rated), and performed very well, though no mud situations encountered.

I'm on a phone, so I'm not going through the effort to link anything, but at one point in time, Johnson Rods had a good tire listing on his website.

Also, I set up a wiki of sorts, at lr3tips.wordpress.com. There is a page article about tires there, with a lot of good info in the comments that should help you with that real world feedback you are requesting.

My most important tip is this:
Go narrow if you live in snow and need to fit chains.

perfect Nathan, I was hoping you would chime in, I couldn't find your site. I get good prices at the cooper store and like that look, thinking that is the route I am going to go

Excellent. As long as you don't need snow chains, the Cooper Zeons will completely satisfy you. The wear well, handle great, provide good traction, and look terrific on the truck.
