LR4 MPG Question

I recently went on a road trip in my 2016 LR4 (Supercharged V6), driving from Arkansas to Wyoming, all highway. We had some odd MPG averages on the trip as we increased in altitude. At below 5000' we were averaging between 15 & 16 MPG, but above 5000' we were getting between 19 & 20 MPG. Our average speed was generally the same and I cannot think of any other factors which would have impacted the MPG in this way other than the change in altitude. Has anyone else had this happen? The only thing I could think of is that maybe there is a software update that we need to have done since the LR4 was originally received in Colorado.

Thanks in advance for any insights in this!

I was using actual mileage, miles driven (per odometer) divided by gallons consumed (at the pump). The trip computer always seems off (as in inflated).

What goes up must come down. These trucks are heavy and anytime I go for a drive over mountain passes it completely changes the mileage for that tank.
