My, now lived in for 18 months, palomino bronco is getting a bit harder to raise, and I believe it needs some lubrication in the lift system. I emailed palomino for advise and they said to use silicone spray on the struts, but the only silicone spray I can find here in Chile is the kind for cleaning dashboards, not the pure silicone for lubricating things. Will this cleaner type spray help my problem, or should I use an oil based lubricant? Also is there any way to lubricate the actual mechanism not just the uprights? I cannot remove the camper from the truck, but worry about wearing out the lifts, so I want to maintain them if possible.
