Hey people,
I recognize many names from other forums but I am not that active on any of them. So a quick intro I guess is in order.
I live in Alaska and have lived here for ages. I have a 2002 Tundra as my main rig and recently found a 1985 2l-t pickup that had been rusting for many years. I plan on rebuilding and transplanting the motor to another rig for my off road only vehicle.
Most of the drives around here are expedition length but I will be traveling to inuvik this summer and the haul road the beginning of winter.
Please excuse crappy pic and bird crap down the side of the bed. I dont have a better pic with the rack on and new I would get razzed if I didnt post a pic.
My tundra doesn't really have many upgrades mainly because it just works perfectly. I have a Yakima load warrior and Randy Ellis lightbar loaded with 240 blitz Lightforces.
My upgrade plans are the OME suspension kit from slee. I am going to build a front winch bumper later this summer hopefully. I wish I could buy one but the shipping woud be crazy expensive and I dont really like any of the current designs. If anyone has adapted a standard style ARB from any other vehicles to fit please let me know.
My battery is still the stock one and starts fine and checks out fine voltage and charge wise. But I think I am going to switch it to one of the Diehard Platinums. I have used optimas with success in the past but it appears that they have gone down hill. Correct me if this is incorrect. I want to install a second battery but my truck has ABS. I have not seen a pic of a dual battery setup in an ABS tundra. Do any of you have this setup or have pics of one?
