M-416 Electric Brake Questions

I am changing my axle out on my M-416 and I have been debating if I should get electric brakes. It seems for that for the price it is not a bad idea. Do you have electric brakes on your M416/M100 and is it worth it? Also, for my Ford Excursion all I had to do is buy the adapter/wire and plug it underneath my dash for my brake controler. Since I don't think my jeep has this connection, how difficult is it to wire the brake controler to my jeep?

Brakes are like horse power, you can never get enough of them.

Electric brakes work in forward and reverse which is very helpful, and they also have the ability to be manipulated separately from the vehicle.

We recommend them for all trailers being towed by short wheel based vehicles, especially under-braked Jeeps with large tires.

Wiring in a brake controller is fairly straight forward and some people do it themselves, most local RV shops and U Haul's do a good job. I’d recommend the 7 pin RV plug be fitted and 12 volt wired up when you get it installed.

You can go with a top of the line Tekonsha P3 controller or an inexpensive unit, as with most things you get what you pay for.

I hate the feeling of being pushed down a slope by a trailer, so for me brakes are a must.
