What is it, and what's it worth???

My employer is surplusing off a 3/4 ton M-something flatbed trailer.
5x7.5" (?) lug pattern, 9.00x16 tires, dual hand parking brakes, has a plague from Toole Army Depot marked 08-90, desert tan. Has a convertible hitch set up, standard ball or pintle. Originally carried a big generator set.

Overall it's in decent shape, not pretty, but sure useable. Can a guy get brakes/bearings for these things, or are they unobtainum? Not sure exactly what I'd use it for, but I'm always exploring ideas and stuff. :box:

Thanks,

Matt

Depends on your use, most go for 1000.00 or less round here. One word of caution it is HEAVY! My Father-in-Law uses his to tote a fuel tank for his heavy equiptment.

Ditto on Grim Reaper.

I started my camping trailer with a M101 3/4 rolling chassis. I purchased at $90 ~2 years ago.

I added a boxed front from a boat trailer and am currently configuring the camper on the trailer.

The M101 with a bed on it weighs nearly 1275# and a M105 will weigh over 2350#s. The M101 frame is 44" wide and 96" long and is basically 2x3 'C' channel. Tires will be 9.00-16.

I recently procured another M101 with a bed on it, but the tongue was all bent to hell, bed was a bit bent/rusty and 2 flat tires (1 had a broken stem, other tube was rotated in tire). I still towed it home 2+ hours. I just added my old parts and gave it to a friend. He's going to make it a tilt trailer for around the 'farm'.

To procure from the gov't agencies like GSA and Gov't Liq, you usually have to fill out an End Use Certificate now. It will take up to 3 months to get cleared.
