How structurally sound is the helmet top? Can it hold a rooftop-tent and and 2-3 occupants?

The top is built like a fiberglass shell, just to military specifications. It is sturdy and very structurally sound.

The top was manufactured by Amtech and there website lists the roof capacity as 500 lbs

Does the rear seal weathertight all the way to the floor behind the tailgate? Are there vertical gussets/reinforcements along the rear interior sidewalls like the front?

No the doors do not go all the way to the floor. Water can enter by the tailgate. I have thought about modifying the doors on my other one so that there is a lip that goes over the tailgate. The rear of the shell is reinforced by the aluminum door frame.
