For Sale: 1967 M416 military trailer slightly modified for adventure
Location: Beaver, PA (25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, PA)
Description: Selling my slightly modified 1967 M416 trailer. I've had it close to 2 years, have only used it 4 times, and recently acquired a travel trailer so plans have changed. I did an amateur restoration so it won't win any beauty contests but it's solid, multi-functional, and will go anywhere. I removed the tub and sanded and painted the frame. Patched some small holes in the tub with fiberglass. Bed liner inside the tub and rattle can paint job on the outside. I extended the tongue with a 4' Curt extended receiver. Since I don't weld everything is bolted in place and can easily be converted to original. I do have the original lunette, parking brake, and 4 lights along with various other hardware. I installed the following new parts: bearings and races, leaf springs, shocks, tires, and LED lights. Most hardware is grade 8. The top is custom out of 2x3 and plywood attached with dump door hinges. I have two sets of struts (50 lbs and 150 lbs depending on weight on rack). It has the no weld rack on top of the lid and can easily carry a RTT, kayaks, bikes, roof basket, etc. Spare tire (not new) is mounted on the tongue. I've also installed a receiver on the back for a bike rack.
Price: $1,800 OBO
Known Problems: There are no known mechanical problems. The lid is not waterproof and I have drilled 5/16" holes in tub for various lid hardware/attachments.
