magic gas?

um....even if it works exactly as advertised, its $40/gal. why not just carry a 5gal jerry can with fuel? 1 gal of "magic tank" snake oil is probably not going to get you as far as 1gal of fuel will.

So... Its basically gas for long term storage in an enclosed space for 10x the cost.

I'll use AAA, thanks.

I did some quick internet research and it sounds like they further refine gasoline to remove the highly flammable elements out of it. It is still combustible. It is a sucker product for those absent minded people that don't pay attention to the fuel gauge or wait until the fuel light goes on. I live in a big city and I still fill up before it gets to a quarter tank.

Probably similar to Stoddard or something like that... It's still only a gallon... Would work well perhaps for a bubble headed person who runs out of fuel all the time... And costs lots to deter them from continuing the trend. IMO, if you want to "be prepared" for power outages and that sort of thing, you need more than a gallon of fuel... and at $40 a gallon, well, I'll just keep rotating stock in my 5-gallon containers. :)

My biggest issue with carrying extra fuel on a daily basis is having to carry it outside the vehicle. I would buy this to keep inside each vehicle. It's just one more "tool in the toolbox".

I've run out of fuel twice in 20+ years. This definitely would have saved me time and embarrassment both times.

In the past I had a product like that that I kept in the back of my wife's Jeep in case she ran out of gas. Never had to use it and eventually tossed it. I don't think it was $40/gallon though. It said it was non-flammable and had to be used in a heated engine. Nice insurance but no idea if it worked.

Found another one-- $24.99 1/2 gallon! Still worth it if it works and gets you out of a sketchy situation.

I think I'll grab a can to put in the back of the family Jeep in case we run out on the beach. A half gallon will easily get us off and I have nowhere to store gas on that Jeep.

Years ago there was another product like it --- came in a yellow 1/2 gallon jug.
I carried one in the trunk of my motorcycle on Iron Butt rides and finally did use it once while battling headwinds across Nebraska.
It was around $5 back then when gas was about a buck a gallon.

If it's the same one I remember, it was a Pennzoil product. It disappeared from my local Canadian Tire store shelves before I had the sense to grab one. That was at least ten years ago.

That's it; Penzoil.
I think it was a great product for the long distance motorcycle enthusiast market. Or somebody like my Mom who drives so little that it's a month or two between fill-ups and she might forget until it's too late.
If the price were reasonable, I'd stick a jug in the Jeep, just in case.
But $40/gal? C'mon.

How "absent minded" do you have to be, to run out of fuel? I keep two gallons of non-ethanol in my truck. Driving coast to coast twice, and half dozen trips from Ca to WI, I never had to use my emergency can... I mean, sheesh
