Map pouch

I'm looking for a pouch to carry my maps.

Preferably leather or waxed canvas.

Need to be able to carry 5 or 6 folded maps and not look too much like a purse.

Home Depot sells one made by Stanley in the tools section. It's approximately the size of the old bank deposit zipper top bags.

While not a pouch, the Saddleback Leather thin briefcase (large) would hold several Gazatteers and Benchmark (book style) maps.

I use a "tankers tool bag" ... made of canvas ... has lasted years of abuse in the Jeep .... different sizes available ...
usually comes in camo, OD, or black ..... and they are inexpensive ...

Has a handle in the back, and strap is removable. Also has a couple small pockets in front and places for about 6 pens if I remember correctly.

Best one I have seen and/or used was a freebie from Toyota, made for their FJ Trail Teams. I've tried looking on eBay for you, didn't see one. But that was last week before the forum went down for the server migration.

Zero on the cool scale but I've used oversize heavy duty ziploc bags for a while. Also let's you see what you have. Waterproof. Cheap.

I see you solved your problem but wanted to throw this out there as well. I just purchased a couple of these - they work great - I have several of the laminated state and local maps and they are all organized and in one place now.
