Maybe I missed it.... Action Camera Mounts

I have searched every forum and cannot find pictures of peoples setup for cameras either mounted on the outside or inside of the vehicle. I put in GoPro and only got the ones that are for sale. So........

If you can, please post up interior modifications of how you have mounted your action cameras inside and outside of the vehicle.

GoPro - I just simply stuck the flat piece in the center of my dash. Went out with a buddy last weekend and he had placed the plastic adhesive mount on the outside upper passenger corner of his windshield and another on the outside of the upper passenger corner of his rear window. Nothing fancy. I'm not willing to put mine outside because if it falls off or gets knocked off you may not know it. He made the point that he gets clearer imaging -I countered that I doubt that since I get dust on my windshield - he will get dust directly on his lens case.

if you go to amazon, or use google you find a metric **** ton of options mounting outside is fine as long as you tether it (unless its a bolt on mount of course).

If you dont want to semi-permanently stick something to your car, I can highly recommend the suction cup mount. When properly installed, it is pretty much impossible for it to fall off.

The 3M VHB-backed ones are impressive. Friends of mine have stuck a few of them to aircraft fuselages (single and twin pistons), boat hulls and cars inside and out.

As mentioned, there are a ton of options, you just have to look around.
