Maybe we will get diesels after all

My new issue of Land Rover Monthly just arrived this morning. There's an article in the front saying land Rover will finally be importing diesels into the USA. Let's hope so- I'd order a new V6Turbo diesel LR4 tomorrow!

I'll believe it when i see one driving in the wild that has regular joe q public license plates, not mfg or dist plates. Until then..

I have heard through my channels that this is absolutely true. 2 years or so out, likely the Sport will be the first model to feature it.

I think manufacturers are needing diesels to help with mpg numbers.....the next 2 years could be fun.

I think I'd definitely have to pony up for one of those too.

I'd have to measure one first and get a look look at the bell housing bolt pattern. A lot depends upon how much stuff is needed to make it run and if its computer can be crippled to the point where the engine can run without a lot of do-dads added on. Though I'd probably have to wait for one of you guys to crash your new LR4

As I do every year, I call Shenanigans. They've been bringing diesels over for like, 10-15 years now.

Also probably won't sell because they will be more expensive and the primary people that buy these vehicles don't get diesel. Also the requirement of DAF fluid will confuse everyone.
