I realize that I've cross posted this in the NW regional forum, but I thought it would be appropriate to put a thread here for anywhere experiencing severe winter weather.
With all the snow/ice/cold we've been having here in Oregon, the normal Meals on Wheels drivers are unable do drive their routes. Last night on the radio they put out a call for help from folks with AWD/4WD vehicles, and the willingness to get out on the road in the cold. My daughter and I drove our FZJ on a route here in Portland today, and it was a lot of fun.
If you want a good reason to be out in the snow, and help some people in need at the same time, contact your local program and volunteers.
In the Portland/Vancouver area: Loaves and Fishes.
Be safe out there!
