Meet my Manfrotto or vehicle video mount

I really want to capture some great in route imagery on the Continental Divide Expedition so I put together a little mount based on the excellent help from Photomark in Phoenix, on Mcdowell road. They have been super nice to this roving idiot who knows less than nothing.
I gave it a little test run last night and it works great with little vibration and it is completely adjustable.

That is sweet. How does the mounting plate attach to the truck? Something glued to the sheet metal under the headliner? Bolts all the way through? Looking forward to seeing some video shot with this rig.

I can't see out the rear view mirror with the narrow back FJ window and now there is storage there anyway...
so off it went and the bolt holes where put to better use!
