Hey I just picked up a really great overland trailer and I am about to start to do some upgrades to the overall package.
Tent is a Treeline Ponderosa
5x8 trailer with a custom rack
Road shower 4s
8x10 awning
I have a height constraint that I want to overcome. My storage parking has a clearance of 6’9” and the trailer is 7’10”. So I need to drop 13-15” off the frame of the base. But I really like the height it provides.
I am also currently in the process of compiling a list of upgrades that will be tackled one upgrade at a time.
My biggest thing i need to overcome is the height. Do I use gas shocks to help lessen the load to raise up the deck or powered actuators to raise and lower the deck?
Upgrades I want to get done over the new several months:
- Solar & Battery setup with lights
- DIY batwing awning
- Kitchen Chuck Box
- Built in Propane with quick connects
- DIY Rigid Tonneau cover
Any ideas are much appreciated. Especially for the deck height adjustment and the DIY tonneau cover.
