Mercedes Vario Heater Control

Even when my heater temperature control is set to cold, I still get heat blowing through the vents.

Has anyone had any experience with how or what controls the temperature?

I thought ours was like that. When you turn temp control to cold position I found if you turn it fully anti clockwise it sort of clicks into the 6 o clock position. It is only then that the heat stops blowing through vents. The difference between blowing hot or cold is 2mm of movement. I also took centre dash off, only a few screws. Cable from temp control goes to a lever on lhs of heater box, there are a couple of clips which hold the cable in place, just make sure they hold the outer sleeve securely.
