Chuck pointed out that I am not the only one who finds getting water out of a MWC challenging. I added a tap from a water cooler to mine that makes dispensing water much easier. This is the only photo I have of it but it should explain things:
Look in the yellow pages under "water" for a store that sells purified water and the coolers, they will sell you a tap for around 10 bucks. The push button style tap is a little more robust than the flip lever style. If you have several MWCs install the tap in one lid and cut the retaining straps off so you can swap lids between jugs as they are emptied. Then you only have one can that you need to be "careful" with.
In use I just lay the jug over horizontally pointing out the rear bumper with a tie strap holding it from toppling over onto the ground. The spigot angles underneath a bit due to the slope of the top part of the MWC but it is still very easy to use.
