Anyone know the possibility of getting one of these licensed for the street? there are quite a few of these available on govplanet.com right now. I can't imagine it's as straightforward as getting a HMMWV licensed for the street.

Something looks wrong.... such as " Locking Interaxle Differential" This sounds like the definition of the "Power Divider" box's locking differential that basically only engauges/locks the rear most axle on a 6x6 into a full time mode. Well... this is not a 6x6 truck so it does not have this. So either they really don't know too much about the truck or they are willing to blow a shiat load of smoke up folks butts.

So far it has not been a problem getting them registered for street use except for the few idiot registrars who assume FMTV or LMTV is another lingo for HMMV. This is fully EPA approved vehicle unlike the HMMV. Just dont use that lingo... call it what it is.. a stewart stevenson M10xx when you go register and insure.

also 8,000 miles on the thing is totally bogas. There is zero way to determine who many miles are actually on them. Military swapped Odo's etc. if needed all the time with no regard to accuracy of miles.
