Mistubshi car help

I'm working on a 2001 Galant for a girlfriend of my wife's. Here's where I'm at:

Troubleshot it to the fuel pump. There is power to the pump, but no pressure.

I went to Checker for a new pump and it is only the pump motor itself, usually not a problem.

I took the old pump out of the vehicle and found that one of the wires in the harness that is in the tank is actually burnt. I pulled the pump off the assembly and put power to it directly and it is locked up.


I need to find a parts breakdown to see if the little harness in the tank is a replaceable part so I can rebuild the assembly, or, if I need to get a whole new pump from the dealer.

Does anyone know of a Mitsubishi website similar to this Toyota site to look up parts?

Only place you might find that is in the Factory Service Manual from Mitsu. You could also try one of the many Mitsu Auto forums out there. I know there is quite a strong following and someone may have a scan of the right page they can give you. I know this is the case for Mitsu 4x4's.
