So last week I picked up the back half of a MJ. My plans are to turn it into a trailer to pull behind my 2000 XJ. Plans are to put make a tongue for it so it's actually a trailer(hopefully with an adjustable length), #3500 trailer axle, paint to match my XJ, find a cap for it or make a cover for it. Nothing crazy as I doubt my XJ will ever have mor ethan 2" of lift to it. Not planning on doing any camping "in the wilderness" as I haven't a clue any place to do it remotely near me.
I could remove the fuel tank and put a water tank in it's place. Take the spare out of my XJ when camping since trailer would have one. Various LED lighting in all directions for lighting up the camp site(seems like anymore, it's almost dark when we arrive do to work schedules).
I gotta convince my other half that it will look cool and not "red-neck". She's gonna take some convincing on this
Unfortunately I just found out that my welder my friend was borrowing "died". I haven't checked it out yet. He said it filled his garage up with white smoke when he was using it, but the smoke didn't smell which I found kinda strange. Budget doesn't allow me to replace it at this time. It's a 25 year old Snap-on unit, proably would be cheaper to buy a new one than to get it repaired since I haven't a clue on fixing a Mig Welder.
