Ah. That's not bad. I was thinking it would stick out more then that.

What type of screws did ya use

Not a problem. Not a threadjack if it's related. It came with four sheetmetal screws. When drilling pilot holes, if you put it where I did, the top holes will have to be drilled through TWO layers as the panel is folded over under the light. Really a pretty sturdy mount, too. I've regularly hit 80 on the x-way and noticed very little deflection or movement in the antenna.

Radio installed. Have to run power, but it's in. The JVC and storage pocket were mounted to "plates" that fit the factory mounting slots. The screw holes for the front of the pocket lined up near perfectly with the mic clip holes on either side of the radio. A few machine screws from the maintenance shop and I was good to go. Also took the oppurtunity to run the lead from the USB to my iPod into the glove box from the rear, making for a much cleaner "install". Sorry for the crappy night-time celly pic.
