Modified Yakima Load Warrior in West L.A.

Am selling my Yakima Loadwarrior (bought new and installed in 2005) with the center basket extension. It's been great for hauling fuel cans, second spare tire and other gear on many trips and trails. It features the factory windscreen, two Yakima combo axe/shovel mounts as well as mounts for three NATO fuel cans (using steel can holders originally sourced from Expedition Exchange) and holder for rear light, ham antenna, CB antenna.

It's faded a bit from being in the sun and has a spot where the paint/metal is bubbly/rusty where I drilled through to attach the CB antenna mount. The EE can holders are through-mounted to the basket via a large 3/8 aluminum plate and stainless hardware. I mimicked the Yak design of the spare tire holder, where the base plate is hung using stainless bushed clamps, then the trays are bolted to that. Works great and has proven very strong, but the upper steel can mounts could use a sand and repaint if you're finicky about appearances.

The rear ham antenna mount is from Diamond and is affixed via an alu mount. This mount also can hold a rear utility light; it is slotted so that if the roof rack is removed, the light can be taken off without unwiring it.

I augmented the mounting system (the basket comes with four mounts for two cross bars) by adding four additional Yakima mounts so I could run four crossbars total to support the load. The crossbars aren't included, but I have one pair of crossbars with the beefier (and no longer available) Yak Low Rider mounts (that affix to a vehicle's factory roof racks) available as an option.

$425 for the basket and mounts (includes mounting hardware, bands for securing cans and clamps for attaching shovel and axe). $475 with the two crossbars and four Low rider clamp mounts.

I'm in West Los Angeles. Local pickup; it's too big for me to ship. Thanks for looking.
